This Is Church, Too.

"They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." - Acts 2:46-47

When you’re ready, our doors are open.

Until then, consider opening yours.

People meeting in their homes has been part of God's plan since the beginning. These smaller, more intimate settings are where people can really get to know one another, meet one another’s needs, and reach out to those in need around them. Because of social distancing, Acts Chapter 2 is playing out more than ever before in new ways all over the world. This new 'church at home' movement is a huge opportunity for families to start BEING the church instead of simply GOING to church.

You have permission.

You have relationships with people who may not be ready, for reasons even beyond COVID-19, to come to a church campus, but they would join you in your living room.

Your living room is an outpost of the Kingdom.

So, invite a few others to join you for coffee and a “watch party” in your home!
This will look different for each home and we want to encourage you to customize the experience however it best fits your home.  We will even provide a free kit to help you get started.

"I had no idea how easy it would actually be!"

- Jessica Hooten

"I loved being with other believers again and being able to discuss our thoughts  after the service. It was refreshing!"

- Cheryl Moore

"The strong feeling of unity in uncertain times simply by being in the same room with other believers was complemented by a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment."

- Kim Gilmore

How do I host a watch party?

Remember, all you're doing is opening up your home.  You have questions? Here are some answers...

Who have you been sheltering-in with? Start by inviting the people you're already around. Your neighbors. Your people. The people you do life with.  Even if it is just one person. An in-person invitation usually works best.  It also helps to reinforce the invite with a text or email.

Not sure what to say?

We've got some examples for you! Just reach out to your people and invite them over.

The question every parent is asking... what do we do with our kids? Every family is different and every child is different.  We have some recommended strategies, but just remember that parents know best!

Need Resources?

We're excited to provide age-appropriate content for just this purpose.

You might be wondering if singing with a small group of people will feel awkward.  That was our fear too, and truth be told, it may be at first. However, we have had several people share stories of how what was awkward at first turned into an incredible time of worship with just a handful of people in a living room.

Remember when Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” We want to encourage you to push through any reservations you may have and allow Jesus to do the rest. So, turn up the music, turn down the lights, do whatever you need to do to make it a safe place to open up. You’re the host! This is your chance to customize your experience for yourself and others. Have fun!

Did you know?

We have a worship playlist on Spotify of songs we like to sing at The Branch!

Wondering how to watch in your living room?  We recommend using a streaming device.  We have our very own app that works on Roku devices and Apple TV devices.  You can also find us on Youtube.
Don't have a streaming device?
We've got one for you! Let us know here.

We take communion every week in our services at The Branch. Remember, Jesus initiated the concept of communion in a home. All you need is some type of bread (or cracker) and small cups of “fruit of the vine”.  Please drink responsibly.

COVID-19 Safety

There seems to be new mandates and new guidelines every day concerning COVID-19. It’s hard to keep up. We get it. For now, we encourage you, your family, and your guests to wear masks while you're together. Maintain social distancing guidelines while your guests are there and make hand sanitizer readily available. Our Host Home Starter Package will contain a package of masks, sanitizing wipes, and sanitizer to get you started.

Providing food is not necessary to host people in your home. However, we suggest having drinks available (water, coffee, tea, etc.) when people arrive. If you want to serve food, consider setting out some snacks or encouraging your guests to bring their favorite dish. You’re the host, it's up to you!

You Can Do This.

You may be asking yourself, "What if I mess something up?" We really want to emphasize that all you’re doing is opening your home. That’s it. We love thinking of our homes as “outposts of the kingdom.”

This is a customizable experience for you and your guests. You can’t get it wrong because all you have to do is be you! We are here to support you in any way we can, even if it’s just cheering you on to keep going.

We're in this together!

"I'm here to help you with this!  We value your feedback. If you have questions about hosting in your home, I'd love to hear from you.
